Martha was balancing a stack of books and binders cradled in her hands and arms that stopped just bellow her eye level, so she was walking very carefully. Most people just dodged around her for fear of the tower tipping and falling. It worked for a while till someone ran past her, “Excuse me!” And she nearly ran into someone else. And everything went tumbling down, including herself. “Ah! Crap.” She muttered, trying to gather her things back up.
Human contact.
He was composed of solid particles – at least in her eyes – as opposed to being the dead air most people phased through. And because of that victory for himself, it resulted in her failure. A minor one, just a couple of books spilled from her cradling arms. Nonetheless, Jack felt responsible. She may not have been a damsel in distress confined to some far off castle, but she was certainly a girl in need of some assistance.
❝Here, I got it –❞
A flick of his staff did the trick. The book that once laid askew, crumbled and bended, gathered themselves up into his arms by a chorus of orchestrated winds.
Sure she might have seemed busy, but Toothiana’s eye had picked up a mischievious spirit as her lips curved into a smirk. “Jack, don’t think you can hide from me in my own turf.” She spoke up without even turning to look at him, but instead the colorful Guardian slid a golden compartment into it’s rightful place.
A curious bordem riddled Jack Frost. Not because of his inability to keep himself entertained, simply because of his fellow Guardians. They were ignoring him – unintentionally, he hoped. All busying themselves with their own devices, keeping the top secret projects hidden from the Winter Spirit.
It wasn’t fair. He was a Guardian, too. They practically groveled at his feet to get him to join their team, just to kick him to the curb a minute later.
Which is why, to settle his inner grumblings, he came to Tooth – the only Guardian who remains not having shunned him from sight. His last chance in solving the mystery to this puzzle.
❝Me? Hiding? Nah, don’t be silly.❞
But he had no time for playing another match of ‘beat around the bush’. Tried that with North – ended in a thirty-minute lecture on how Shashkas were the best Russian weapon ever created and (exact words): “Jack Frost, if you no get out of here right now I do Shashka on you.”
Jack won’t be so easily fooled by that trap again. This time, he hits his point like a bullseye.

{ ❆ } —- [ An unconscious step back was taken by the blonde, instinctively clutching her hands to her chest. She supposed that the boy was too lost in his thoughts to notice her presence, and that maybe an apology was in order. ]
”I apologize—— Startling you was not my intention.“
[ Her eyes couldn’t help but linger on him, though, wondering why she was struck with a bout of familiarity as she observed his features. But then it hit her—-
—-they shared the same features. It then lead her to wonder whether or not similar features entailed similar abilities, however, she decided not to be so hopeful and blame the similarities on coincidence instead. ]
”You look, er, upset.”
[He, too, notices their shared attributes. Sharp blue eyes, platinum hair. Positively uncanny. Yet, she’s most likely no more strange than any average Arendelle woman. No matter how unconventional her looks may be, he’d be a hopeless fool to think it could equate any similarities between to two – that someone as innocent as her would create such a winter, let alone, have the ability to.]
❝Upset?❞
[He chuckles; cold and exhausted, nothing straying from the norm.]
[But he decides to ignore the subject beyond that. No point in reciting his failure to one stranger.]
❝What are you doing all the way out here, anyway? Aren’t you cold?❞
